Diomedes
c. 95-90 BCE

Chronology of the Indo-Bactrian rulers is based largely on numismatic evidence. Bactrian coins were imitations of Greek issues, but they gradually acquired a style of their own. Legend of Indo-Bactrian coins were inscribed in Greek, Brahmi, and Kharosti scripts.

Silver dracham of Diomedes. c. 95-90 BCE.
Obverse: Helmeted, draped bust facing right and legend in greek.
Reverse: Dioskouroi standing facing, holding sceptres; monogram at left and legend in Kharosti script.
Weight: ~ 1.1 grams.
